Import your Amazon order data

Updated View as Markdown

Import Amazon data adds missing details to your orders from the files that Amazon gives you. You upload the files, and BuyingGroupPro finds your orders by order number. It shows the details that your orders do not have. You select the orders, and BuyingGroupPro adds the missing details to them. BuyingGroupPro does not change a value that you entered. This feature is on every plan.

Get your files from Amazon

  1. On Amazon, open the Request Your Data page.
  2. Select Your Orders, then submit the request.
  3. Confirm the request in the email from Amazon.
  4. Wait for the email that says that your files are ready. This can take some days.
  5. Download the zip file. Do not change the files in it.

Upload the files

  1. On the Orders page, select Import / Export, then select Import Amazon data. On a phone, open Status and tools first.
  2. Select the zip file, or up to 5 CSV files from it.
  3. Select Import Amazon data.

The results page opens. When you upload the files, BuyingGroupPro does not change your orders. You can open the results again later from Import Amazon data.

Add the details

The Details to add list on the results page shows the details that your orders do not have:

  • Cost: the order total from Amazon, when the order has no cost or only an estimate.
  • Product name: when the order has 1 product and no name, or only a general name.
  • ASIN and serial number: when the order has 1 product and no value.
  • Card and cash back: when 1 of your saved cards has the same last 4 digits.

Every order in the list starts selected. Clear the orders that you do not want to change, then select Add these details. BuyingGroupPro adds all the details that the list shows for each selected order. You can add the details of up to 500 orders at a time.

On a computer, the Orders page also shows the Amazon data:

  • Cost, product and serial number show the label "From Amazon files".
  • Each order shows an Amazon data panel with the items, prices, ship dates, tracking, returns and replacements from Amazon.

BuyingGroupPro uses the details that you add in the same way as the details that you type. For example, a buying group receipt can then match the order. Then your auto-submit and BFMR insurance settings apply to it.

Tracking

BuyingGroupPro does not add tracking by itself. The results show open orders that have no tracking, when Amazon has tracking for them. Select Review this tracking. On the next page, check the tracking, then add it. Tracking that you add there works the same as tracking that you paste.

When BuyingGroupPro cannot confirm the carrier from a tracking number, the results show that tracking in the Tracking to add by hand list. Open the order, add the tracking, and select the carrier.

Orders that Amazon cancelled

The results show open orders that Amazon cancelled. To change their status, select the orders, then select Mark as cancelled.

Orders that are not in BuyingGroupPro

BuyingGroupPro does not add new orders. The results count the Amazon orders that BuyingGroupPro does not have. They list the orders that went to a buying group address. To track one of these orders, add it on the Orders page.

Upload again

You can upload new files from Amazon at any time. Every upload must include the Order History.csv file. BuyingGroupPro keeps the newest Amazon data of each order. If you upload only some of the other files, BuyingGroupPro keeps the data from the files that you uploaded before.

Your data

BuyingGroupPro does not keep the files. It does not keep the addresses, gift messages, or gift card numbers or balances in them. It keeps the Amazon details of the orders that you track, until you delete the order. It deletes the lists in the results after 30 days. It deletes the results after 1 year. It does not send the files to an AI service.

Limits

  • The files can be 25 MB or less in total. If your zip file is larger, open it. Upload Order History.csv and the 4 files in the Your Returns & Refunds folder.
  • The files can have up to 50,000 rows in total. BuyingGroupPro reads the newest 15,000 orders in them.
  • BuyingGroupPro reads Amazon.com orders in US dollars.
  • You can upload files 10 times in 1 hour.
