Address variations (jig generator)

Updated View as Markdown

The jig generator makes variations of a shipping address, such as "STE 100" for "SUITE 100", so that a store sees orders to the same place as going to different addresses. Resellers use it when a store limits how many units one address can buy. It is on the Address Variations page, on Pro and Concierge.

Make a variation

  1. Paste one address.
  2. Click Generate jig. You get one variation.
  3. Click Re-jig for another one.

Each variation makes small changes to the address, such as STE for SUITE. Check that the carrier can still deliver to the address before you use it.

Save the ones that work

Save a variation with its store, its buying group and a note. For each saved address, BuyingGroupPro keeps how many times you used it and how often it worked, and you can mark an address the store has blocked. Choosing a buying group also adds an auto-link rule, so orders shipped to that address are linked to the group. See auto-link orders.
